Some dogs become part of who we are
Mayzie wasn’t just my dog. She was my best friend. She was beside me through one of the hardest periods of my life, when unexpected health challenges slowed everything down. Her quiet companionship became a constant source of comfort and joy.
After she passed, I wanted something that kept her spirit alive in a way that felt joyful. I kept wishing for something that captured her personality, warm and full of life, rather than leaving her frozen in a photograph.
That’s where LookiBooki began. What if your real dog could live inside a story? Not just their name, but their familiar likeness hidden in playful scenes you could return to again and again.
I built the first version to share Mayzie with my nieces, nephews and family who loved her too. Now that same idea has become a way to celebrate the dogs we remember and the ones still curled up beside us.
Because this isn’t only for the dogs we’ve lost. It’s for the joy they give us while they’re here, and the memories that stay long after.
